Load. Aim. Shoot.

Whoever said that shooting a gun is a hobby that can only be enjoyed by men probably did not consider those adventurous and sporty women who are always on the go and ready for some action-filled activities in their routine. And for the record, I am one of those female species.

My first gun firing experience was way back December 8, 2012. During that time, I never did thought that I can hold a gun and actually fire it because first and foremost, I don't have a friend who has that kind of hobby and so I didn't have the means. Opportunity strike when the head of security at my work invited me to participate during their (security personnel) Pistol Marksmanship Training. Lucky me! =) Right then I knew that it was time for me to get out of the box and try out new things so that I could choose which ones I would like to do again and which I would never waste my time doing for the second time.

We went to A-GRIP Security & Investigation Services, Inc. It's funny because the name sounds like my surname. The venue of the firing range is located at the Basement 2 Parking right at the exit of MRT Guadalupe Station. It was sort of an isolated place that you would not recognize it being there all this time.

Nah. It's not ours.
I was able to fire 24 shots using a 9mm pistol although 10 of which is free since per person only 14 are allowed and will be scored. The magazine consists of 7 bullets so I basically had almost 4 rounds. Tabulating the official 14 shots, my score? 110/140. Not bad for a first timer isn't it? Maybe I should give credit to my big round eyes as well. :D

One happy kiddo.
Only for documentation purposes. Did not try it since I am afraid of its recoil.
Fierce! =)
This activity proved to be one of the things that I wouldn't mind doing again. And so, gun firing encore last September 2, 2013. Hmm.. I have to say, firing is sweeter the second time around? Why? I scored 124/140! I don't mind doing what men can do. At least on some aspects there is gender equality. =)

Gun loading like a pro.
124/140. Yay!
