The Project Pie Experience

While other couples fulfill their travel bucket list, the boyfriend and I are taking the simple and attainable things first that is, trying out good food from different restaurants which we have also read on social media sites. For yesterday's "Saturdate," we tried Project Pie.

The ambiance is similar to Yellow Cab and Army Navy that the boyfriend thought it was another sister company but reading through their site, I discovered it is an internationally owned company franchised here in the Philippines. To set the expectation, it is not like the salad bar in Wendy's wherein you get to assemble your food on your own but rather, you instruct the artisan on what ingredients you wanted for your pizza. Looking at their menu, you can choose on two options (1) choose a number - where you get to pick from their pre-set pizzas or (2) build your own - where you get to pick the ingredients you want from their variety of toppings. You pay as you order and they will just call you at the bar counter once the order is finished.

Of course, to get a feel of the whole experience, we chose to build our own. The toppings we chose included: red sauce, Mozzarella cheese, bacon, pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, mushroom and green bell peppers. All the pizzas they serve are standard in size and sliced to four.

Chris' Pizza, why not? =D

Thinking that one pizza will not be enough to our monstrous stomachs, we also ordered one of their dessert pizza - Banana Nutella. I personally don't like cinnamon because of it's strong aroma and after taste but including it in the dessert pizza is just way too perfect. More over, how can anyone go wrong with Nutella? =)

I can't help but scoop the excess Nutella using my hand, so tempting!

They also offer sodas and tea which you can avail for three rounds, alcoholic drinks like beer, but we chose bottled water and I was really fascinated with the design of the container. Upon checking, we found out that it was a collaboration with Nature Spring. Truly local.

Still using the bottle until now.

Definitely coming back for this again. It certainly has a place to our "favorite resto" list. =)
