It was raining hard on the day of my birthday. How timely that while there is downpour outside, we were booked at Tagaytay (insert sarcasm š). The good thing was that the theme of my celebration is just a laid back and worry-free staycation. I have a strong liking for low key gathering that is why no storm can stop me from being ecstatic that day.
If you happen to pass by my blog sometime August last year, I already posted an article on how to plan the
perfect Tagaytay staycation. Because we were impressed with our Airbnb hosts at that time, we opted to try their other unit - Big Bear Tagaytay. You may browse and make booking reservation in the said unit
here.

Cozy bed is always a win. |
Maybe another thing that I liked about their units is the minimalist approach in terms of design. The different parts of the house fit perfectly and seamlessly. Totally my peg when we already have a chance to have our own home.

Look at how they managed to put a dining area with that space. |

Shower room is different from the actual restroom. |
The next day, in order to save ourselves from heavier rainfall, we went down to Solenad to have my birthday lunch at The Morning After. The principle of the restaurant is simple, enjoy breakfast meals and make them available any time of the day. They also feature staple breakfast meals coming from other parts of the world. Here's what we ordered.

I think, these are buffalo wings, but I forgot the name and I can't find it in the menus online. Sorry š

I guess getting older means dropping complex celebrations and replacing it with simple and uncomplicated ones. I'm beyond happy and thankful. How about you? How do you usually celebrate your special day? ☺
