Wedding Insider: Can we really get married in the Church with a limited budget?

The good news is - YES! Just like what I said in my previous blog, you just have to decide and work on the budget that suits you.

The fiancƩ and I came from a Catholic household so it was somewhat an expectation that we get married at the church. Admittedly, at first, we opted to do civil rites because we said we only had less than a hundred thousand to spare. Through time, and when he finally popped the question "formally," I started looking for suppliers. Here's how our plans evolved:

Which would you choose?

These are summarized versions of all the churches, reception venues and wedding packages we considered. To date, we are going for Plan D. From the initial plan of holding civil rites, we ended planning for a church wedding. We found options we can use to push through with the wedding without having to shell out so much. By the term "so much" we meant P300,000.00 or more. We opted for what is the least expensive and went for the most practical choice. I'd like to put it the way the priest in our pre cana seminar taught us - "A wedding is just a DAY, a marriage is for a LIFETIME." Do whatever works for you. You don't need to please everybody. If it looks beautiful to you, it really is regardless if it is grand or not. As long as it is decent, planned and well thought of, then I guess it is more than okay.

P.S. Actual prices and breakdown of our wedding will be disclosed after the big day so stay tuned! šŸ˜„

(Note: Wedding insider is a series of articles that I will post regarding the happenings related to our BIG DAY. This is hopefully one of the many.)
