The Beautiful Pinto Art Museum

In the quiet place of Grand Heights at Antipolo lies a unique and beautiful museum namely, Pinto Art Museum. It houses numerous paintings, may it be on acrylic or wood, by Filipino painters such as Neil Manalo, Elmer Borlongan, and Alfredo Esquillo Jr. among others. There are also other installations collaborated through the use of other media that I never thought would look perfectly good altogether. It was a refreshing site to see. The level of appreciation I have for paintings or any other art pieces are not as technical as others may have but I must commend that the exhibit inside are very beautiful indeed. Here are snapshots of some of the paintings:

Mga Bata sa Pantasya ng Karahasan by Neil Manalo
Karnabal by Salingpusa (several artists). This is also one of the two largest canvases in the museum.

Hating Kapatid by Elmer Borlongan
Art works by Elmer Borlongan
Propetang kulang sa pansin by Alfredo Esquillo Jr. Can you believe this detailed image is a painting? It can even appear to be a digital photo itself.
The rooms as to where these paintings are hung are not air-conditioned unlike in other museums. Maybe because the temperature in Antipolo is already enough to preserve the paintings in good condition.
The place per se is already photogenic.

On the other hand, here are some of the installations using other media.

Tingga'ng Baluti by Salvador Alonday
Hallow by Nona Garcia
The Hollow Man by Alab Pagarigan
Oblivious by Stephanie Lopez
It will take around two to three hours to complete the tour inside the vicinity since there are six galleries, a chapel and the museum of indigenous arts. The management knew that the visitors may be tired from exploring the place that is why they made it a point to have several chairs, sofa sets and even beds where they can rest. There are also small cafe's for hungry museum-goers because there are no restaurants nor convenience stores near the location. Due to the feel and the high aesthetic value of the museum, it is now being used as a venue for photo shoots particularly for pre-nuptial shoots. The admission fees are Php180 for regular tickets, Php150 for senior citizens and Php 100 for students. You can call them at (02) 697 1015 for more information regarding the rates for tours and photo shoots. There is also a Php20 charge that should be paid by non-residents upon entering Grand Heights Subdivision. Go and visit it too. Be one with nature while exploring the many different paintings of our talented artists.
