#SquadGoals in Canyon Cove

The spot for my first out of town trip for this year goes to Nasugbu, Batangas with no less than my friends. And I am very much thankful and happy of how supportive they are in adjusting their plans depending on the amount of budget I have. 😁 True friends, right? But they would've been the BEST if they went out of their way and treat me instead. But that's a different story. Haha! For this specific trip, we availed of a promo voucher in Metrodeal - a day tour package at Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa for only P499.00 which is originally priced at P1200.00. I can't seem to find the price list in their website, but you can contact them for further inquiries here.

Since majority are from Laguna, our travel time was only limited to a little over two hours. If you are coming from a farther place, make sure to leave early since Tagaytay road is REALLY traffic nowadays because of the never ending commercialization of the area. Canyon cove offers overnight stays that is why several buildings are visible inside the compound. Although we noticed that some structures appeared to be abandoned. Our only guess was, it is due to the emergence of several beach resorts all throughout Batangas.

The pool is HUGE and it can fit quite a number of guests. It has 3 segments, 1 for adult and 2 for kids.

Upon arriving, we rented a cottage near the pool which can fit 6-8 pax for P1000.00 since the voucher only included entrance to the resort and access to the pool and beach. They also have cottages near the beach which are able to fit 8-10 pax that costs P2500.00.

The resort also offers several water activities that the whole gang can enjoy like banana boat, bandwagon, paddle boat, jet ski and kayak. The scorching heat of the noontime sun prohibited us from trying those. By the time the sun almost went down, we were already leaving.

Water sports paraphernalia.
Paddleboarding guests making their way to the breakwater.
The rope boundaries define the swimming to the water sports area.
Food is not allowed inside the resort with the exception of chips and bottled water so we had to order in their restaurant. I read in other blogs that it is owned/run by Max's with the inclusion of only a few of their specialty food items. True enough, the sweet and sour fish really tasted that of Max's.

Bon Appetit!
Lunching without utensils is the best. Truly local.
After the heavy meal and feeling all sleepy, we went for a walk along the shore but since it is small, we ended up finishing almost the whole stretch for around 15 minutes. What's nice about hanging out with friends is that you don't run out of stories to tell and things to do. Do you agree?

Having fun after lunch.
Tried this for a 100 times before finally getting good poses.
Siesta by the pool.
Water buddies.

Overall, I'll give the place a 3.5/5. I am not closing my doors on considering their overnight stay package in my next trip. Given that we had the vouchers through a promo, I can say it is value for money and I highly recommend it for those who are on a tight budget. Here is the detailed breakdown of our expenses. Note that we are seven in the group.

I guess what really made this trip special more than the place itself is the presence of my friends. Catching up, laughing and doing silly things with them are all priceless and needless of ratings. Thank you, dear friends, for always making me feel that I have a second family in all of you. I can't wait to experience the places I will be lucky to go to and the people I'll be spending it with this 2017. I can only patiently wait and save up for it in the meantime. šŸ™Œ
